WILLARD, Box Elder County Sheriff's deputies were called out to help find a hunter reported missing.
Authorities said they were notified about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday about a hunter who was possibly stranded between Willard Peak and Ben Lomond Peak.
"(The) 36-year-old Ogden male had shot a goat and told family he was hiking down to the North Ogden Pass and did not arrive," the Box Elder County Sheriff's Office said in a statement today.
Search and rescue teams responded as a snowstorm moved in, dropping about four inches of snow on the peak. They searched for several hours, without success. Authorities said a Weber County Sheriff's deputy later found the man at a gravel pit on the Weber-Box Elder County line.
The hunter was reported to be in good condition.
