AAA Utah will offer a free class for drivers who own or are interested in hybrid vehicles. The Hybrid Driver Training Seminar will take place Saturday at the E Center in West Valley City beginning at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The two-hour sessions will include classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction led by instructors. The classroom session will teach participants about the basics of hybrid technology, vehicle maintenance and techniques to increase mileage. Participants will also be able to put their newly acquired knowledge to practical use by test-driving hybrid vehicles on a closed-road course, according to AAA.
AAA says some hybrid drivers report difficulty in achieving the kind of fuel mileage they expected from their vehicles. The class is designed to address that issue and provide information to help boost fuel efficiency. All class participants must pre-register. Visit www.aaa.com/greenlight for more information.
