ESCALANTE, Garfield County Garfield County Sheriff's deputies are searching for three hikers missing in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
Search and rescue teams and a Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter have been dispatched to the area to look for three men from Michigan.
Garfield County Sheriff's spokeswoman Becki Bronson said the men, who are all experienced hikers, were supposed to be on a four- to five-day hike of the Death Hollow Canyon Trail, but did not report in at the end of the trail.
The search for the men was launched this afternoon.
