Voices For Utah Children has named attorney Michael A. Zody its 2007 Child Advocate of the Year.
Zody, an attorney with Parsons Behle & Latimer, is recognized for his leadership and commitment in improving children's lives through advocacy and policy initiatives.
During the 2007 Utah legislative session, Zody directed a successful effort by the United Way Young Leaders to push for expansion of full-day kindergarten programs in Utah.
Voices for Utah Children is the state's largest child advocacy group, tracking child poverty and promoting public awareness and improvements in statewide child welfare services.
Parsons Behle & Latimer is Utah's largest law firm with more than 100 attorneys and offices in Salt Lake City, Reno and Las Vegas.
