2 charged with theft of products sold on Net
The women, ages 20 and 22, were employees of Salt Lake-based Internet Enterprises, which operated as a middleman seller between Overstock.com and customers.
The women placed orders using false customer names and had the products sent to their homes by Overstock.com, according to documents filed on Wednesday.
Internet Enterprises noticed something was wrong when no payments were received from the customers.
Detectives searched the homes of the two women and found enough evidence to file charges against the women, according to court documents.
Each has been charged with second-degree felony theft. If convicted, they could face between one and 15 years in prison.
