The National Federation of Independent Business will host a health-care conference Thursday, Oct. 25, in Sandy.
The event is designed to help the uninsured.
"Health Care Reform in Utah: Will It Really Happen?" will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 25 at the South Towne Exposition Center, 9575 S. State, Sandy.
Speakers include John T. Nielsen and Norm Thurston from the Governor's Initiative on the Uninsured; Lane Beattie of the United Way/Salt Lake Chamber health systems reform proposal; Rep. Jim Dunnigan, R-Taylorsville, and leader of the Small Group Reform; Kelly Atkinson from the Utah Health Insurance Association; Don Garlitz and Brad Kunhausen from the Utah Association of Health Underwriters; Judith Hilman from the Utah Health Policy Project; Dr. Mark Bair, president of the Utah Medical Association; and Dave Gessell of the Utah Hospital Association.
