I applaud whoever penned the editorial (Oct. 9) focusing upon the combined efforts of Zions Bank, Catholic Community Services and artist Ruby Chacon that resulted in the mural on the face of the CCS building. Within the next day or so, I intend to see it for myself.
Chacon is a highly talented artist whose passion and caring for our people is so evident in her marvelous renderings.
I'm proud of Zions Bank for making this happen. Zions' Scott Andersen demonstrates his passion for carrying on the significant contributions made to our community for so many years by the Simmons family.
I'm neither Catholic nor Hispanic, but I am blessed to have many good friends who are.
