The following NFL players with Utah ties recorded statistics in week 5:

• San Diego DL Ryon Bingham (Nebraska/Alta HS) is credited with a tackle against Denver.

• Washington TE Chris Cooley (Utah State/Logan HS) started and caught four passes for 26 yards and a touchdown in win over Lions.

• N.Y. Jets CB Andre Dyson (Utah/Clearfield HS) had a pass deflection and a tackle against the Giants. Jets DT Sione Pouha (Utah/East HS) also had a tackle.

• Miami DL Steve Fifita (Utah) had a tackle and an assist against Texans.

• Pittsburgh NT Chris Hoke (BYU) had a tackle and an assist against Seahawks.

• Pittsburgh DE Brett Keisel (BYU) recorded a tackle against Seahawks.

• Carolina NT Maake Kemoeatu (Utah) had a tackle and assist against Saints.

• Baltimore DT Haloti Ngata (Oregon/Highland HS) had four tackles against the 49ers.

• Green Bay LB Brady Poppinga (BYU) had an interception, a deflection and four tackles against the Bears.

• San Francisco MLB Derek Smith (Arizona State/American Fork HS) had 12 tackles against the Ravens.

• Carolina WR Steve Smith (Utah) caught four passes for 47 yards and a touchdown against Saints.

• San Diego S Eric Weddle (Utah) had a tackle, two assists and a deflection against Broncos.

Others: Miami QB John Beck (BYU) will likely move up the depth chart following the injury to Trent Green.
