A "speedpitching" event for entrepreneurs and investors will take place Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the E-Station in Kaysville.
Entrepreneurs looking for capital will have the chance to pitch to investors if selected to present at the FundingUniverse-SEED Weber/Davis/Morgan SpeedPitching luncheon at the Davis Applied Technology College, 450 S. Simmons Way in the Simmons Entrepreneurial Center.
The SpeedPitching luncheon, akin to "speed dating" for the investment world, puts 10 prescreened and precoached entrepreneurs in front of 10 groups of three to five investors. Entrepreneurs pitch to small groups of investors for four minutes. Investors then have three minutes to ask questions. After the time has expired, the entrepreneurs rotate and begin the process again, pitching to another group of investors.
FundingUniverse.com is accepting applications for the event. Entrepreneurs and accredited investors interested in participating in the luncheon may register by visiting www.fundinguniverse.com/services/339/340/utah.html.
The event is sponsored by Zions Bank, Grow Utah Ventures and the SEED Weber/Davis/Morgan initiative, a community-led effort focused on fostering and supporting entrepreneurs in the three-county region.
