PAGE, Ariz. Searchers at Lake Powell have scaled back efforts to find a man who disappeared when a rock slab capsized his boat.
Don Simmons, 64, of Calhan, Colo., disappeared Sept. 28 when a rock slab fell from an alcove onto his boat. His wife, 59-year-old Mary Simmons, was killed in the accident. National Park Service rangers presume that Don Simmons has drowned in an area where the water is 150-feet deep.
Rangers say they will continue to patrol the area for any sign of his body.
