PROVO — The public is invited to attend a free open house tonight at Provo's new Covey Center for the Arts, 425 W. Center.
Staff and volunteers will conduct tours of the $8.5 million facility and visitors can observe the dress rehearsal for Thursday night's Grand Opening Gala.
Tonight's open house is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.

In search of a Memorial Day column, I wandered into Memory Grove (who said columnists can't grasp the obvious?) and as I walked by the various war monuments, I came upon the best-looking structure there: the Meditation Chapel, which might have been transplanted straight from Athens.
