TAYLORSVILLE A man displaying a knife made off with an undisclosed amount of the prescription painkiller OxyContin on Friday after insisting a pharmacist at a grocery store give him the drug.
The man walked into the Albertsons store at 3555 W. 5400 South around 8 p.m. and showed the pharmacist a note. According to the pharmacist, the note read, "Give me OxyContin. I have a knife," said Sgt. Rosie Rivera, spokeswoman for the Taylorsville Police Department.
The man displayed a knife on the counter, the pharmacist handed over the drug and the man ran off, taking the note with him.
Police are seeking a white male who is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a BYU baseball cap, gray shirt, green fleece vest and jeans
