Workplaces recognized for promotion of fitness

The Healthy Worksite Award Program recognizes the outstanding achievements of businesses and organizations in implementing employee health promotion and wellness programs. Honorees are recognized at an awards luncheon.

The platinum-level 2007 Healthy Worksite Award recipients are 1-800 CONTACTS Inc., Altius Health Plans, American Express, ARUP Laboratories, BD Medical, Brigham Young University, Davis County, Fairchild Semiconductor, Healthy Utah, Honeywell International, Intermountain Healthcare, Intermountain Power Service Corp., Lifetime Products Inc., Murray City Corp., Nature's Sunshine Products, Northrop Grumman, Novell, Nu Skin Enterprises, Pepperidge Farm Inc., Provo City Corp., Regence BlueCross BlueShield, Salt Lake County, Smithfield Recreation Center, Summit County, The Williams Cos., Ultradent, Usana Health Sciences, Utah County, Utah Transit Authority, Verizon Wireless and Weber State University.

Gold-level honorees are Basic Research LLC, Delta Air Lines, Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators, Price city and R&O Construction.

Silver-level honorees are A Plus Benefits, Children's Miracle Network, Continental Airlines, Cream o' Weber, Mountain America Credit Union, National Product Services, Neways, Salt Lake City Corp., Spectrum Engineers, Stampin' Up!, The Heart Center, Uintah Basin Medical Center, University of Utah, Vanguard Car Rental USA and Westminster College.

Bronze-level honors were awarded to Orbit Irrigation Products Inc. and Salt Lake Community College.
