SPRINGDALE Parts of Zion National Park's West Rim Trail, including Angels Landing, will be closed for maintenance beginning Monday, park officials announced.
Crews will use a helicopter to fly in new cement for the trail, which hasn't been upgraded in years. After the cement is poured, it will need several days to cure. The trail will be closed for at least one week, officials said.
The area will be closed between the grotto in Zion Canyon and the West Rim Spring. The nearby Kayenta Trail will remain open, according to park spokesman David Eaker.
