Davidson and Mountain View Corridor project manager Terry Newell say 2100 North and the future school are not incompatible, depending on where the road is actually built.
Newell says UDOT hopes to have a decision by November on whether the department will continue to study 4800 North as an option. If the department is going to study the road further, Lehi's research will be included as a supplement to UDOT's draft environmental impact statement.
"We're in the process of reviewing that (research from Lehi)," Newell said. "We don't want to rush that because it was very well thought out, and we want to give it its due attention."
Newell says she hopes to have public meetings on Mountain View Corridor's progress in November and an official record of decision on the road's location by next year. In the meantime, Newell says she hopes to have feedback on UDOT's plans from everyone involved with the project including Lehi.
"We're talking, and that's nothing but good," Newell said of UDOT's somewhat strained relationship with Lehi. "As long as we keep talking, we'll find a solution."
