Foreign film
• "Ten Canoes" (Palm, 2006, $24.99). Fascinating, simple fable of the distant past, about aborigines in the primitive Australian outback. Brings to mind Mel Gibson's "Apocalypto" without the bombast. Not rated but has nudity and violence.
Extras: Widescren, featurettes, trailer; DVD-Rom applications
Vintage/reissued DVDs
• "The Intruder: Special Edition" (Buena Vista, 1962, PG-13, b/w, $19.99). Arguably William Shatner's finest hour and one of writer/director Roger Corman's with Shatner as an agitator who riles up a Southern town over desegregation issues.
Extras: Full frame, featurette
Extras: Widescreen
• "Eat My Dust: Supercharged Edition" (Buena Vista, 1976, $19.99). Silly car-chase stuff from Roger Corman, starring Ron Howard.
Extras: Full frame, featurette, trailer
• "Demons" (Anchor Bay, 1985, $14.98).
• "Demons 2" (Anchor Bay, 198 , $14.98). Gory Italian horror.
