'Walk for Forests' is planned Oct. 6

The Utah Environmental Congress is registering participants for an Oct. 6 walk to raise funds and awareness for the protection of Utah's national forests and native wildlife.

The "Walk for the Forests" begins 10 a.m. at the Lake Terrace in Sugarhouse Park. The entrance donation is $10 per person or $5 per person for three or more participants.

Participants will receive a free T-shirt and learn about what national forests mean to the community and wildlife.
