My family recently adopted a baby girl from China. She is the most amazing little sister I could ever have imagined. However, it has been brought to my attention that some consider it inappropriate for Americans to adopt babies from other countries. The personal attacks that my parents and I have faced have been appalling.
My family wanted another baby, and, quite frankly, China's adoption program is more stable than America's. If international adoption is offensive to some, then I say look at the problems in the American system and fix them. If you request change, you must work for it. Judging others solves nothing.
