Liberty Belle, a newly restored World War II B-17 bomber touring the country, took to the skies over Salt Lake City on Monday. The plane will be made available to carry residents in flights on Saturday and Sunday at the Salt Lake Jet Center at 369 N. 2370 West. Flight hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In search of a Memorial Day column, I wandered into Memory Grove (who said columnists can't grasp the obvious?) and as I walked by the various war monuments, I came upon the best-looking structure there: the Meditation Chapel, which might have been transplanted straight from Athens.
