Popular and trendy casual clothing retailer American Apparel will open its first Utah store at Trolley Square just in time for the holiday shopping season.
The clothier signed a lease for a 2,800-square-foot space across from Banana Republic, mall manager ScanlanKemperBard said Thursday in a news release.
"This is another step on our journey to restoring Trolley Square as a premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination," said Tom Bard, a principal of ScanlanKemperBard.
The Trolley Square mall is undergoing a $40 million renovation project that will eventually include an additional 40,000 square feet of retail space and a 53,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market in a separate building.
