ANTELOPE ISLAND STATE PARK — The second annual Antelope Island Balloon Stampede kicks off its three-day hot air balloon festival today.
Up to 25 balloons will launch above the island during the festival, which also features live entertainment today and Saturday.
A variety of acts will be available, including music, cowboy poets, cloggers, game shows and presentations on the history of Antelope Island.

I found that out last week. In search of a Memorial Day column, I wandered into Memory Grove (who said columnists can't grasp the obvious?) and as I walked by the various war monuments, I came upon the best-looking structure there: the Meditation Chapel, which might have been transplanted straight from Athens.
