The new pedestrian and bicycle bridge over I-215 at the mouth of Parleys Canyon will be opened Friday at 10 a.m.
Parleys Rails, Trails and Tunnels (PRATT) Coalition will sponsor a bike ride from the bridge to the Jordan River Parkway after the ribbon cutting. Sponsors suggest riders park their cars at the closed Smith's food store at 3100 E. 3300 South and take a free shuttle to the trailhead.
The bridge is at the Grandeur Peak Trailhead north of Wasatch Boulevard (about 2900 South), east of I-215.
