Two people were thrown 100 feet Sunday evening after their motorcycle was hit by a vehicle driven by a woman who was making a turnin front of them.
The 33-year-old man driving the motorcycle was hospitalized in critical condition. His female passenger was hospitalized in serious condition, said Salt Lake City Police Lt. Dave Hoffman.
The crash occurred about 6 p.m. at the intersection of 1300 East and Stratford Avenue (2560 South). Witnesses told police the motorcycle may have been speeding when the crash occurred. The 73-year-old driver of the car was turning left, Hoffman said.
The names of the crash victims have not been released, and no citation has been issued. The investigation is ongoing, Hoffman said.
