Chicano scholarship group to honor students at event

The Chicano Scholarship Fund Committee is honoring outstanding students at the 32nd annual Chicana/o Scholarship Banquet on Friday.

The event at the University of Utah's Ray Olpin Union Ballroom starts at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour and silent auction. The banquet follows at 7 p.m.

Since 1973, the fund has celebrated the achievements and cultural strength of Utah's Chicano and Chicana students. Individual tickets are $35, or $12 for U. students. A table of eight is $300.
