Evergreen International schedules annual conference Sept. 21, 22
The 17th annual conference of Evergreen International will be held Sept. 21 and 22 in the Joseph Smith Building in downtown Salt Lake City.
Evergreen International was founded in 1989 as an information, education and resource organization for men and women working to overcome same-gender attraction while maintaining and sustaining the doctrines and standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The conference will include more than two dozen workshops on such wide-ranging topics as depression, intimacy, finding trust in relationships, overcoming same-sex attraction and overcoming pornography, plus several sessions designed to meet the needs of spouses, parents and friends. There will also be workshops for Spanish-speaking participants.
Presenters for the workshops are a cross-section of therapists, motivational speakers and religious leaders from throughout the country. In addition, Elder Douglas L. Callister of the Second Quorum of the Seventy will be the featured speaker Saturday morning, and on Saturday evening well-known LDS musician Michael McLean will present a special fireside.
For more information on the conference please call 1-800-391-1000 or go to the Evergreen International Web site at evergreeninternational.org
