For Every Body, a Lindon-based candle manufacturer, will donate 2,000 of its "Hope for a Cure" candles to hospitals in Provo, Orem, American Fork, Murray, Sandy and Salt Lake as a way of encouraging mammography screening.
The candles will be given to women who have a mammogram in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This year, candles will be donated to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, Orem Community, American Fork, LDS, Cottonwood and Alta View hospitals. Recipient women also will be given a postcard containing information about breast cancer.
