GRAPHICS: Don't waste your money on '08 if you don't have an HDTV. Without hi-def you're going to miss what is one of the best looking sports games out there. Not only are the PGA pros dead-on accurate, but the courses are crisp right down to the grass and trees blowing in the wind. The interesting thing is how it never rains. Apparently, in Tiger's world it's always sunny.

The spectators are nothing more than poorly designed polygons waiting to be hit by an off-target ball. My daughter seems to have a knack for knocking down the poor souls.

The biggest bonus in the new Tiger Woods '08 is Photo Face. It didn't seem as cool when reading the package as seeing how it works. If you are lacking an Xbox Live Vision camera then you can try to create a golfer from scratch with more options then you'll ever need to customize a face.

PARENT'S TAKE: Kids will love Photo Face. My kids already love Tiger Woods golf, so the addition of Photo Face took it to a whole new level of excitement. They had as much fun hulking up the bodies for their faces.

FINAL WORD: If you already own Tiger Woods '06 or '07 for the Xbox 360, there is no real reason to trade it in for the '08 version. Actually, you might save a few bucks and buy the '07 version today and never look back. Sure, Tiger Woods PGA Tour '08 offers new courses and a few new features, but it doesn't go far enough to warrant the heavy cost, $60.
