Two helicopters and about a dozen sheriff's deputies are searching the Uintas today for a 3-year-old boy and a woman who are missing.
Summit County Sheriff's Sgt. Jim Shupe said the child wandered away from a camping spot at about 8:30 a.m. at Haystack Lake, which is 26 miles from Kamas off the Mirror Lake Highway.
A woman who went to look for the boy has also been reported missing. Her relationship to the boy is unclear.
The boy's mother had to leave the area to notify authorities, Shupe said.
