TOOELE — Fire restrictions were lifted on federal, state and unincorporated lands across the state Monday.

The Bureau of Land Management said it was lifting the restrictions that were still in place along lands west of I-15 in Tooele, Utah and Box Elder counties. An area along the Colorado River in eastern Utah also had its restrictions lifted.

"Recent rain and cooler temperatures have reduced the fire danger, but the grasses and finer fuels are still a concern," said the BLM's Jeff Kline in a statement.

"Along with this rescind of fire restrictions, we want to remind folks to use caution with outdoor activities."
