Was: 1. Last week: 1-0. Outlook: The Knights shouldn't lose a match in region play; the real challenge will be avoiding overconfidence.
2. Cottonwood (15-3) Class: 4A
Was: 2. Last week: 1-0. Outlook: Colts open region play in dominant fashion which should continue if they utilize all of their offensive options.
3. Brighton (5-2) Class: 5A
Was: 3. Last week: DNP. Outlook: The Bengals begin region play and should be exciting with new players and a new (returning) coach.
4. Highland (1-0) Class: 4A
5. Morgan (4-3) Class: 3A
Was: 6. Last week: DNP. Outlook: The Trojans should have no trouble with region play, but they'll need to prepared at state.
6. Viewmont (12-4) Class: 5A
Was: 16. Last week: 6-1. Outlook: The Vikings won the Northridge Tournament and appear to be rising among Region 1 squads.
7. San Juan (13-2) Class: 2A
Was: 8. Last week: 8-0. Outlook: The Broncos won their own tournament, but real test will be against Region 12 teams.
8. Rich (8-2) Class: 1A
