PROVO Brigham Young University President Cecil O. Samuelson and his wife, Sharon, will speak Tuesday at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center.
Their address is titled "The Year of the Constitution."
Samuelson has served as BYU's 12th president since 2003. He is a member of the Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Samuelson also was the senior vice president of Intermountain Health Care and dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Utah. He has earned many academic honors and has written or co-written 48 original publications.
Sharon G. Samuelson graduated from the University of Utah with honors in history. During the early years of the Samuelsons' marriage, she earned a teaching certification and taught school.
She has held leadership positions in all of the auxiliary organizations of the LDS Church while being active in the community and working as a full-time homemaker and mother.
