CAN'T MISS

BEARS (0-0) AT CHARGERS (0-0)

The skinny: The Chargers finished the regular season with 10 consecutive victories and the league's best record. Nothing has changed—except the head coach.

Prediction: Chargers, 20-13

PATRIOTS (0-0) AT N.Y. JETS (0-0)

11 a.m.

The skinny: The Jets are the only AFC East team that might provide problems for the defending division champ. But even they are no match for the new and improved Patriots.

Prediction: Patriots, 27-16

STEELERS (0-0) AT BROWNS (0-0)

The skinny: The Steelers have won 7 in a row vs. the Browns and have allowed them just one offensive TD in the past 12 quarters. Not even Jamal Lewis will change that.

Prediction: Steelers, 23-13

GIANTS (0-0) AT COWBOYS (0-0)

6:15 p.m.

The skinny: Finally, a game between the Giants and Cowboys that doesn't include Bill Parcells. his replacement, Wade Phillips, has to beat the Giants.

Prediction: Cowboys, 28-24

WORTH WATCHING

BRONCOS (0-0) AT BILLS (0-0)

11 a.m.

The skinny: The Bills are a young team trying to rise, especially after winning five of their final nine last season. The Broncos are trying to determine what they are.

Prediction: Bills, 24-21

EAGLES (0-0) AT PACKERS (0-0)

11 a.m.

The skinny: The Packers won their final four last season, giving them hope it could be a sign of things to come. The Eagles will quickly squash that optimism.

Prediction: Eagles, 24-17

TITANS (0-0) AT JAGUARS (0-0)

11 a.m.

The skinny: An early division game to see who will finish second to the Colts in the AFC South. Right now, the Titans get the edge with Vince Young.
