SANDY — Police were searching Thursday for a man suspected of threatening to shoot a Walgreen employee and taking oxycodine.

There were no injuries reported in the robbery at the store, at 9400 S. 700 East. A man threatened a pharmacist and demanded oxycontin, said Sgt. Victor Quezada, spokesman for the Sandy Police Department. The pharmacy didn't have any and gave the thief oxycodine instead.

"He informed her he would shoot her, but no gun was ever seen and no gun was ever shown," Quezada said.

Police were reviewing video footage from the drug store and other evidence, he said.

The robber is described as a 170-pound white man, 5-foot-8 or 5-foot-9 with blondish brown hair, shaved on the sides, and facial acne. He was wearing a green T-shirt and khaki shorts.
