The Latin American Chamber of Commerce will present its 2007 Business Awards at its third anniversary gala ball today at the Sheraton Hotel in Salt Lake City.
Honors include the Founders Award for Alex Collantes of Azteca America TV; Partner Award for Ed Distel and Bustos Media; Popular Choice Award for Adolfo Campos of Tenochtitlan Mexican Market; Emerging Business Award for Jose E. Lopez of Creative Woodworks Inc.; New Entrepreneur Award for Jessica Yescas, owner-operator of Pier 49 Pizza in Murray; Business Opportunity Award for Joyce Mathie of Sargent Steam; Success Business Award for Eduardo Bedoya of EBC Computers; and Bartholome de las Casas Award for Tony Yapias of Proyecto Latino.
The event will feature Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon providing opening remarks and Lt. Gov. Gary R. Herbert as keynote speaker.
