Stephanie Wilkins Pugsley has been elected president and Karthik Nadesan has been elected as president-elect for 2007-08 for the Young Lawyers Division of the Utah State Bar. Pugsley is an attorney with Jones, Waldo, Holbrook & McDonough in the Salt Lake City office, where she maintains a traditional litigation practice. Her education includes a degree from the University of Utah. Nadesan is an attorney with the Salt Lake City office of Snell & Wilmer, where his practice is concentrated in litigation. His education includes a University of Utah degree. Attorneys practicing three years or less or under the age of 36 hold membership in the Young Lawyers Division, making it the largest section of the Utah State Bar, with approximately 2,000 active members.

Becky Thompson has been selected as the new director for the Wildcat Club at Weber State University. Thompson has worked in WSU's Alumni Relations office since 1998, most recently as associate director.

Steven Stultz and Jim Ely of Stultz Financial Inc. have been named to lead wholesale SBA and conventional business development throughout the West under a new alliance with Community South Bank, based in Tennessee. Stultz has more than 30 years of experience in SBA lending and Ely has more than 20.

Michael A. Zody has been named chairman of the newly formed Climate Change Law & Policy Group, and William J. Stilling has been named chairman of the Health and Life Sciences Practice Group at Parsons Behle & Latimer. Stilling has been involved in the health-care industry for 25 years and practiced law for 15 of those years. A registered patent attorney, Stilling also is an associate professor (clinical) in the department of pharmacotherapy at the University of Utah.

Stephen Howell has been promoted to construction loan officer at Celtic Bank. In this position, Howell originates construction loans, including residential, commercial, land acquisition and development and he originates conventional commercial, SBA and SBA Express loans. He has been with Celtic Bank since September 2002. Prior to joining the bank, he worked in the real estate and title areas. He has a degree from the University of Utah.
