SEPT. 14

THE BRAVE ONE — Thriller starring Jodie Foster as a woman out to avenge the killing of her fiance.

THE DEVIL CAME ON HORSEBACK — Documentary feature about a U.S. Marine who witnessed the Darfur genocide.

DRAGON WARS — Fire-breathing reptiles lay siege to Los Angeles in this fantasy-thriller starring Jason Behr.

MOVING MCALLISTER — The makers of the LDS version of "Pride and Prejudice" return with this romantic comedy.

MR. WOODCOCK — Seann William Scott tries to stop his mother (Susan Sarandon) from marrying his nemesis (Billy Bob Thornton) in this dark comedy.

RETURN WITH HONOR: A MISSIONARY HOMECOMING — Locally made feature about a missionary who dies and is then given 60 days to put his life on Earth in order.

THEM — Already a hit in Europe, this French thriller follows newlyweds who witness strange phenomena in their new home. French with subtitles.

THIS IS ENGLAND — Filmmaker Shane Meadows has dramatized his experiences with a gang of British skinheads.

SEPT. 21

ACROSS THE UNIVERSE — Julie Taylor's '60s-period musical romance features reworkings of Beatles songs.

EASTERN PROMISES — Filmmaker David Cronenberg reteams with Viggo Mortensen for this mystery-thriller.

GOOD LUCK CHUCK — Romantic comedy about a cursed man (Dane Cook) trying to woo the woman of his dreams (Jessica Alba).

GYPSY CARAVAN — Documentary feature examining the Gypsy culture and music. With subtitles.

THE HUNTING PARTY — Richard Gere and Terrence Howard are journalists in war-torn Bosnia in this thriller.

IN THE VALLEY OF ELAH — Tommy Lee Jones play a veteran soldier investigating the death of his son in Iraq.

RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION — The video game-inspired series continues, with Milla Jovovich returning to battle the undead.

STRANGE CULTURE — Part documentary, part dramatic re-creation, this film looks at controversial artist Steve Kurtz.
