Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. and XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. said they complied with the U.S. Department of Justice's request for more information about their proposed merger.
The satellite-radio companies, in a regulatory filing today, said they expect the transaction to be completed by the end of the year. Former Federal Communications Commission Chairman Mark Fowler supports the deal, XM and Sirius also said Wednesday.
Sirius, based in New York, agreed to buy larger rival XM in February.
