The University of Utah Continuum magazine featured an article titled "Understanding Immigration" about an honors think tank that produced the report "Immigration in Context: A Resource Guide for Utah." One point comes across to me as extreme ignorance. The last paragraph states that "(Immigration) is not a political issue in Mexico, it is a fact and sometimes a necessity of life."
Immigration is very much a political issue because it involves at least two countries. The political problems that cause economic problems within Mexico have created immigration problems for the United States. Despite all of our other problems, massive immigration into our country does tell us that we are doing something right.
