MIDWAY, Wasatch County About 10,000 spectators gathered at the Zermatt Resort Monday to watch the championship round of the Soldier Hollow Classic sheepdog tournament.
Bill Burhow and his dog, Pete, went home to California with the gold medal, while Beverly Lambert and her dog, Bill, from Connecticut, took silver. The 2005 North American Champion, Amanda Milliken, and her dog, Ethel, took bronze.
This was the third year the championship competition was held at the resort, according to spokesman Nate McDonald. More than 20,000 people attended the entire tournament.
