Utah State

SOCCER: At Fort Worth, Texas, senior midfielder Dana Peart netted her second goal of the season, but the Aggies lost 3-1 to TCU at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium. The Aggies outshot the Horned Frogs, 17-14, including 8-6 in shots on goal. Next weekend, the Aggies (1-1) travel to Flagstaff, Ariz., to play in the Northern Arizona tournament.

VOLLEYBALL: Utah State's Amanda Nielson was named to the 2007 Montana State-Holiday Inn Classic all-tournament team after leading the Aggies to a third-place finish over the weekend. Nielson, a senior opposite-side hitter from West Valley City, averaged 4.72 points, 4.11 kills, 1.78 digs and 0.56 blocks per game in the tournament.

Weber State

VOLLEYBALL: Weber State sophomore outside hitter Micah Lines has been honored as the Big Sky co-player of the week after leading the Wildcats to the title of the North Florida Labor Day Classic. Lines posted three double-doubles as the Wildcats swept all three matches.

BYU

CROSS COUNTRY: Minnesota and Baylor highlight the competition at BYU's only home meet, the 2007 BYU Autumn Classic at East Bay Golf Course this Saturday. BYU, ranked No. 1 in the Mountain West Conference in both men's and women's competition, will compete against Minnesota (men), Baylor (women), Utah Valley State College and Dixie State College. The women's 5K race begins at 10 a.m. and the men's 4-mile race starts at 10:50 a.m.
