Frito-Lay honored four West Valley-based truck drivers this week during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week.
The four Utah drivers Steve Condie, Larry Dea, Randy Piep and Kevin Wright were recognized as Million Milers, a program acknowledging drivers who drive more than one, two or three million miles without an accident.
The men, along with more than 80 other Frito-Lay drivers throughout the country, received the award at an annual company gala in Plano, Texas.
The company has seen a 64 percent decline in accidents over the past 10 years since the implementation of the Million Milers program, according to the company. Frito-Lay drivers accumulate a combined 105 million miles per year.
