Dance auditions

• Ballet West's "The Nutcracker" will hold preregistration dance auditions on Wednesday and Thursday at Bryant Intermediate School, 40 S. 800 East, from 4-7 p.m. Preregistration fee is $10.

Only preregistered dancers will be allowed to audition on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the University of Utah.

Dancers must be at least 8 years old and range in height from 4 feet to 5 feet, 8 inches. (801-323-6947).

• Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert will hold dance auditions Sept. 11, 13, 18 and 20, at the Ensign Stake Center, 135 A Street, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The auditions will be open to male and female dancers of all faiths, 14 and older, with previous dance experience. Dancers must come prepared to dance barefoot or in soft dance shoes and comfortable clothing.

The performances will run Dec. 13-16 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Conference Center and will involve two dances with more than 60 participants.
