Dr. Brenden R. White has been named president of the Utah Optometric Association, and five other optometrists were elected as officers and trustees for the association. White previously served on the UOA board of directors. He has practiced in Sandy since 1996 and in 2001 established In Vision Eye Health, where he practices today. His education background includes an undergraduate degree from the University of Utah. The other new officers are Dr. Lincoln Dygert, president-elect; Dr. Michael M. Judkins, as executive vice president; and trustees are Drs. Lynn Stromness, Lori Hooley and Mark Taylor. Dygert joined Ogden Vision Center in 1998. Judkins has practiced optometry in Ogden for eight years and established Promontory Family Vision in 2006. His education background includes attending Weber State University. Stromness has been in private practice since 1990 with offices in West Jordan and Sandy. Hooley, whose background includes a degree from the University of Utah, provides vision care for children in her American Fork office. Taylor is in private practice in Kaysville and Syracuse.
Kelly Phillipps has joined Park City-based Backcountry.com as its chief information officer. Phillipps is an enterprise IT expert with more than 25 years of technology and business experience. Most recently, he spent three years as the operations chief and enterprise architect at a Salt Lake-based company.
Adam Hilton has been promoted to account manager at Salt Lake-based Richter7. Hilton joined the company in August 2006 and worked most recently as assistant account manager.
Mick Huerta has joined the the mortgage team at Mountain America Credit Union as a mortgage loan officer, and Breck Schueller has been promoted to branch manager of the credit union's Saratoga Springs branch. Huerta has five years of mortgage experience. Prior to working in the mortgage industry in the Salt Lake area, he spent eight years in South America working with various charitable organizations. Schueller has been with Mountain America Credit Union for six years, most recently as the assistant branch manager of the Orem branch.
