Mighty Thor, Sanford join forces in Las Vegas to face Aggies

Dixon and Rocky Hinds, who underwent offseason knee surgery and is still recovering, were listed as co-starters until Aug. 16, when Sanford made the decision.
"We knew he (Dixon) could make plays as a runner, but he has worked very hard and is showing he can also make plays as a passer," Sanford said.
Dixon, a high school teammate of Utah State center Ryan Tonnemacher, grayshirted and then redshirted for the Rebels. He threw for 2,100 yards and 25 touchdowns at Hamilton High in Chandler, Ariz.
