In a prepared statement, Jordan Radman, FiberTEK's president, commended the Economic Development Corporation of Utah, the state of Utah and the Juab County economic development organizations "to be progressive and professional organizations that have effectively portrayed the quality of the people of Utah and the quality of the business climate in Utah. We certainly look forward to being a respected and contributing business to the Nephi community."

FiberTEK history features some Utah ties. Ivan Radman and his family migrated from Australia in the 1950s and established a fiberglass plant in Salt Lake City under the Western Fiberglass name. The company later had plants in Utah, Texas and Arizona. Radman's engineering group, W.F. Engineering, developed fiberglass technologies, and Western Fiberglass was sold in the mid-1990s to Owens Corning Fiberglas.

The W.F. Engineering group spent the next 10 years building small plants for the production of fiberglass throughout Asia, Canada and the United States. It re-entered the insulation manufacturing market with the lapse of a noncompetition agreement when it bought a facility under the FiberTEK Insulation name.
