YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — A week ago, firefighters were spread thin trying to keep up with wildfires burning in the park. But rainfall and cooler temperatures in recent days allowed the park to lift all fire restrictions Thursday evening.

Temporary fire restrictions were put into place in the park last month.

The restrictions could again be put into effect should hot, dry weather conditions resume and increase fire danger, according to a release Thursday from the National Park Service.
