The Utah State Auditor's Office's review of the Mountainland Applied Technology Center identified some illegal and questionable transactions:

• Campus leaders illegally paid for work on a parade float for the Utah Republican Party and falsified accounting records related to work done on the float

• The trustee board approved a questionable "transition package" for Robert O. Brems, former MATC campus president and current UCAT president

• Former UCAT president improperly provided written acknowledgement of a charitable contribution and under-reported income to an employee

• A purchasing conflict of interest: A program director was purchasing items from her husband, a sales representative for a vendor.
