I was so happy to read Lee Benson's column stating the facts of Kyle Perry's encounter with Thomas Wellington in Provo ("Hot story had teeny, tiny flaw" on Aug. 20). I hope that Perry sues the city of Provo for attorney's fees and time spent defending himself as well as time spent in jail. But what price do you put on defamation of character and restoration of your good name?
Obviously, the Provo Police Department needs to do a better job of training its officers.
