OREM — Utah Valley State College will host a benefit concert in the Ragan Theater for families and rescuers affected by the Huntington mine tragedy.

The concert will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday and will feature the band Hourglass, a progressive-style rock band from Orem.

The concert is being sponsored by the college's student council. Tickets are available at the Campus Connection for $7.

"This is a great community event and wonderful for families," said Jerry Stenquist, a student government representative. "This event is for a good cause. We hope everyone will come out and enjoy some music and help support Utah's mine disaster rescuers and families."
