At Fresno, Calif., 18-year minor league veteran Scott McClain homered in three consecutive innings to lead the Fresno Grizzlies to a 9-2 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Tuesday night. McClain, who has just 34 major league at-bats, belted a two-run homer in the fourth to snap a scoreless tie; a solo shot in the fifth; and another two-run blast in the sixth. In all, Fresno banged out seven extra-base hits, as it handed the Bees their sixth straight loss. Kasey Olenberger (10-7) was tagged with the loss, as he allowed eight runs, seven earned, on 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings. Salt Lake hitters didn't fare much better as four Fresno pitchers combined to strike out 15 Bees batters. Angels' outfielder Juan Rivera, on an injury rehab assignment, went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles. Mike Eylward had the only RBI for the Bees with a fifth-inning single.
